From The Journal Sentinel in Wisconsin –
“Welcome to the Jewell Box,” says Michael McKinley as he opens the door to his 1927 Spanish-style bungalow in Sherman Park.
“I’ve often thought that this house is so special that it should have a name,” McKinley added. “The former owner, Mr. Jewell, died recently, and that’s a way of honoring him.”
The Jewells owned the house for 44 years and indeed deserve credit for taking such good care of it. Almost all of the original architectural elements remain, from the three types of leaded glass windows to the carved oak trim of the dining room to the Spanish plaster.”
