Smaller Is Better

As we continue to follow the stories from around the country about the downsizing of homes, Dowser has a feature article on the tiny house and smaller home movement.  As they write in the article   “The assumption that people should aim to live in large, spacious homes is almost built into the middle-class American imagination. But many Americans who are part of a growing “tiny house” movement have realized that these homes can be debtors’ prisons—and, furthermore, that their size results in a materialistic lifestyle. More space to fill equals more furniture to buy, and makes it easier to accumulate possessions over time, the residents of tiny houses reason.”
